As we continue with our 2022 Free Speech Film Festival, we invite you to join the process and help us select this year’s Free Speech Award Winner! The best way to do so is to become a judge and watch and score films with our festival team.

Here are five reasons as to why you won’t want to miss out:

1. You will not find the films anywhere else.

All Free Speech Film Festival submissions are not yet in distribution, so your participation in the festival gives you exclusive access to new and unseen stories from across the globe.

2. Watch the films on your time, at your own pace.

The Free Speech Film Festival uses the Film Freeway platform as a host for submissions, which means all you have to do is log on and you can watch films ranging from 6 – 60 minutes wherever and whenever you please.

3. You can choose your selection of films based on your interests.

Are you interested in films of a specific genre, or from a certain region? Let us know and we will make sure you get to see some of this year’s submissions in line with your interests.

4. We encourage judges of all backgrounds and experience levels.

Do not worry if you have little to no experience in judging films. We provide our judges with guidelines for scoring films in terms of theme, emotional appeal, structure and story, audio and music, cinematography and editing.

5. You will not have a better opportunity to learn about film, free speech and human rights!

By participating in the Free Speech Film Festival, you will not only learn more about issues across the globe, but you will gain access to a community of filmmakers and activists who are embracing free expression and defining free speech.
