BEN WIZNER
Director, American Civil Liberties Union’s Speech, Privacy, and Technology Project
Ben Wizner works at the intersection of civil liberties and national security, litigating numerous cases involving airport security policies, government watch lists, surveillance practices, targeted killing, and torture. He appears regularly in the global media, has testified before Congress, and is an adjunct professor at New York University School of Law. Wizner has been the principal legal advisor to NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden since 2013.

Tarquin Ramsay is an award-winning 22 year old investigative filmmaker based in London. He began a career in investigative reporting at the age of 16 when he co-founded youth media organization newsPeeks. Its aim is to produce independent investigative media for and by young people by bringing emerging reporters together with the world’s most renowned whistleblowers, hackers and investigative journalists. His 2017 Free Speech Award-winning film, “Free Speech Fear Free,” asks what is free speech? and investigates the lurking threat of surveillance.
